Cultural Issues

The project area has been studied in detail by the project archeologist with the result being the identification of a number of sites proposed for preservation and interpretation. Both the State Department of Land and Natural Resources Historic Preservation Division and the Cultural Resources Commission have reviewed and approved the plan to provide for the cultural sites identified. A highly respected cultural team have been involved in the cultural identity process for the project and will continue to provide the direction necessary to appropriately address cultural issues within the project.
